The Hands Behind the Mission
Guided by faith, united by compassion — meet the people who bring hope to life every day.

Antony & Vigi Varghese – Founder
Antony and Vigi Varghese are originally from Kerala, in the southern part of India, and have been married since 2003. They have been settled in the United Kingdom since 2001 and now live in Aberdeen, Scotland. Vigi works as a nurse, and Antony is a theatre instruments sterilisation technician. Both were born into Catholic families and personally met Jesus in 2007, accepting Him as their personal Saviour and Lord.
Whether behind the pulpit or serving in the community, Antony and Vigi are passionate about transforming lives through a ministry marked by humility, obedience, and compassion. Their desire is to live each day demonstrating practically how they have been saved by God’s grace, sanctified by His love, and kept by His Spirit. They actively serve in local, district, and national church ministries, sharing God’s Word and ministering to those in need.
In the winter of 2009, they experienced a strong call from the Lord through Isaiah 61:1-3:
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion — to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”
Deeply burdened by this calling, and after years of prayer and confirmation through numerous prophets, they founded Rehoboth Charitable Trust as a first step in fulfilling God’s purpose for their lives. Antony serves as Founder and Chairman of the Trust in both the UK and India. Vigi serves as Treasurer and Secretary in the UK, and also as Secretary in India.
By God’s grace, they have authored four gospel tracts, addressing the value of life, the identity of a child of God, and the pain of loneliness, beautifully emphasising that Jesus is our closest friend and everything. These tracts have touched many hearts and transformed lives, guiding readers from despair to hope, and from a sense of dying to truly living in Christ.
Antony and Vigi’s hearts are particularly for orphans, the wounded, widows, the homeless, and anyone in need. Through Rehoboth Charitable Trust, they faithfully serve to bring practical help, hope, and the love of Christ to communities both in the UK and India.
“Living to serve, giving hope, sharing Christ.”

Pastor Varghese M Samuel - Vice Chairman
Pastor Varghese M Samuel was born into a Catholic Christian family in Kerala, South India. By the grace of God, he came to salvation and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord on 15 August 1980. This life-changing commitment laid the foundation for his journey of faith and ministry. He currently lives in Northampton, United Kingdom, with his wife, Nisha, and their three children: Jonathan, Jewel, and Joann. Called by God to pastoral ministry, Pastor Varghese
faithfully leads the Malayalam Church in Northampton while also teaching the Bible in churches and Bible schools across the UK. His ministry is marked by a deep commitment to scripture, discipleship, and nurturing believers in their spiritual growth.
As Vice Chairman of Rehoboth Charitable Trust, Pastor Varghese supports the Trust’s mission to serve the poor, vulnerable, and marginalised. The Trust provides practical aid including food, shelter, education, and pastoral care, helping communities in need locally and in India. He is guided by Isaiah 58:7: “Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?” This verse inspires his service and strengthens his commitment to the Trust’s vision, ensuring that every act of service reflects Christ’s love and compassion.
Pastor Varghese views his work as both a calling and a privilege. With humility and dedication, he continues to teach the Word and extend God’s compassion to those in need, mentoring others to live faithfully and serve selflessly.
“Guided by faith, serving with compassion.”

Renju John - Trustee
Renju John was born into a Jacobite Christian family in Kerala, South India, where he grew up surrounded by faith and community. In 2000, he personally embraced Jesus Christ as his Saviour and Lord—a decision that continues to shape his values, priorities, and service. Today, Renju lives in Scarborough, United Kingdom, with his wife, Rosmi, and their three children: Abana Sara, Abel John, and Alana Anna.
His life and ministry are rooted in gratitude to God for the opportunities given to serve Him and others.
Renju is actively involved in the Inter Collegiate Prayer Fellowship (ICPF), where he dedicates his time to mentoring, guiding, and supporting young people. His passion for youth and children’s ministry reflects his desire to see the next generation grow strong in faith and live out their God-given calling. He believes in equipping young people with the tools to live purposeful, Christ-centred lives while fostering a spirit of compassion and service.
As a Trustee of Rehoboth Charitable Trust, Renju supports the organisation’s mission to show the love of Christ through practical care for the poor, the vulnerable, and those often overlooked by society. The Trust provides food, education, shelter, and pastoral support, nurturing hope and dignity. Renju draws inspiration from Galatians 2:10: “All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.” He remains committed to serving faithfully alongside fellow trustees and volunteers to expand the Trust’s impact both locally and in India.
Renju views his role not just as a responsibility but as a privilege. He believes that serving others is an expression of love and obedience to Christ, as affirmed in Matthew 25:40: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” With this conviction, he continues to serve faithfully, striving to be a channel of God’s compassion through Rehoboth Charitable Trust and beyond.
“A servant of God with a heart for mission.”

Pastor Simon T S – Treasurer
Pastor Simon T S has been pastoring the Malankara Christian Church in Kerala, India, for more than ten years. He lives in Kochi with his wife, Shejimol, and their two children, Manisha and Mourishya. Before entering full-time ministry, he worked as a carpenter, much like Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus. This early experience instilled in him the values of diligence, humility, and faithful service, which continue to shape his pastoral approach. Shejimol, Pastor Simon’s wife, was born into a
Muslim family, but through the power of God’s grace, her life was radically transformed. She heard the Gospel, surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, and became a faithful disciple and a living testimony of His love and mercy. Together, they serve as a ministry team, passionately walking alongside new believers, mentoring youth, and guiding families in their spiritual journey. Their home is a place of prayer, fellowship, and encouragement, reflecting their heart for discipleship and community.
Through God’s unmistakable calling, Pastor Simon transitioned into full-time pastoral ministry, dedicating his life to shepherding the flock of Christ. Over the years, he has faithfully led worship services, preached the Word, conducted Bible studies, and provided pastoral care to families and individuals. His ministry reflects a deep commitment to both the local church and the wider community, often reaching out to the hurting, counselling those in crisis, and encouraging believers to grow in their personal walk with Christ.
Serving as Treasurer of Rehoboth Charitable Trust
As the Treasurer of Rehoboth Charitable Trust, Pastor Simon views his role as a calling of stewardship and service to Christ’s Kingdom. Managing the finances of the Trust is not merely administrative work but a spiritual responsibility. He firmly believes that every resource entrusted to the Trust is a gift from God, to be used wisely, transparently, and prayerfully for the advancement of the Gospel and the care of the poor and needy.
In this role, Pastor Simon oversees budgets, financial planning, and the allocation of funds for the Trust’s charitable and mission projects. These initiatives include assisting the poor and marginalised, helping the sick and elderly, and supporting children’s education and mission outreach. Beyond financial stewardship, he is actively involved in mission planning and strategic decision-making, ensuring that every rupee entrusted to the Trust directly fuels evangelism, discipleship, and Kingdom-building work.
Pastor Simon’s prayer is that Jesus Christ will be glorified through every act of stewardship and service, and that many lives will be transformed for His Kingdom.
“Stewarding God’s resources, serving His people.”

Pastor Jomon Johney – Assistant Treasurer
Pastor Jomon Johney was born and raised in Kumarakom, a scenic destination in the Kottayam District of Kerala, India. At the age of 16, he began his professional journey as a Graphic Designer. Through the prayers of his parents and God’s undeniable call, he surrendered his life to full-time ministry when he was at 19, marking the beginning of a lifelong commitment to serve Christ and His people. In 1997, he
joined India Bible College & Seminary in Kumbanad, Kerala, where he completed a three-year Bachelor’s Degree in Theology (B.Th) and a Bachelor of Theological Studies (B.Ts) from TAFTEE, accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA). He later pursued postgraduate studies in Practical Ministry at Hebron Bible College and also earned a bachelor’s degree in Literature from Madurai Kamaraj University.
His pastoral journey began in 1998 as an Associate Minister at IPC Kumbanad Centre. In 2002, he entered full-time ministry, serving two churches under the Kumbanad Centre for thirteen years. In 2011, he felt led to serve with Gilgal Bhavan, an organisation dedicated to caring for physically and mentally challenged individuals, where he served faithfully until 2017. Following God’s guidance, Pastor Jomon and his wife Blessy responded to a call to mission work in Liberia, West Africa, ministering to underprivileged children for three years. Due to his wife’s health challenges and the COVID-19 pandemic, they returned to India and settled in Meenadom near Puthuppally, Kottayam District.
In 2021, Pastor Jomon and Blessy began a small church fellowship in Vadavathoor with just 16 people, which has now grown to around 80 regular attendees. Blessy brings extensive experience caring for the elderly and individuals with physical and mental challenges. Together, they disciple, mentor, and shepherd their congregation with dedication and love.
In the providence of God, he unexpectedly became a part of Rehoboth Charitable Trust, marking a significant turning point in his ministry. Through the Trust, he has had the opportunity to serve the Lord by reaching out to the poor, the sick, the aged, and the neglected through various charitable initiatives. He deeply values Rehoboth Charitable Trust’s unwavering commitment to evangelism—not merely as a charitable mission, but as a divine calling. The Trust works not only to meet physical needs but also to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the advancement of the Kingdom of God. Since joining Rehoboth, he has been blessed with a meaningful platform to share the name of Jesus and actively participate in the Great Commission. By God’s grace, he has also written a powerful Malayalam gospel tract addressing alcohol and drug abuse, which has impacted many lives and led people to seek God.
As Matthew 9:37 declares, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few.” He is humbled to be one of those labourers, faithfully serving God and trusting Him for greater opportunities to touch lives and expand His Kingdom.
“Serving God, touching lives, sharing hope.”
